Poetry and Sufi Soul

It’s the last Verse Matters of 2015 tomorrow! Join us at the Mugen Tea House (Scotland Street) for fantastic poetry from Kate Garrett and Gina Elbow and beautiful music from Sufi Soul singer Sarah Yaseen (Rafiki Jazz). There’ll also be great open mic performances from Charlotte Cass, Louise Clines, Jude Calvert-Toulmin, Keira James, Faiza Zai, Liz Searle, and Fran Critchlow.

In partnership with the Mugen Tea House we’ve set up a permanent donation point for the S2 Foodbank at the event, so please bring along tinned/dried food donations if you can and we’ll pass them on to the Food Bank.

As always there’ll be lovely tea and cakes from Sarah at the Mugen Tea House. The venue doesn’t have a licence so please bring your own bottle if you want to drink alcohol!

Date: Thursday 12 November, 7.30pm

Cost: Pay what you can. £3 suggested donation. All door profits split between featured artists. Free entry for open mic participants.

Venue: Mugen Tea House, Scotland Street, S3 7AA
